Beach of Is Figus

Pula

The beach of Is Figus is located within the municipal territory of Pula, in southern Sardinia, a short distance from the archaeological ruins of the Punic-Roman city of Nora and the Romanesque church of Sant'Efis, famous for its religious festival of the same name.

Is Figus is quite a large beach, about 500 metres long and 12 metres wide on average. Its total width measures about 6,000 square metres and can therefore comfortably accommodate 800 people. It borders Su Guventeddu beach to the northeast and Nora beach to the southwest, separated by a 50-metre, ancient stone quay.

Its sand is characterised by a white colour with medium-fine grains, while the water, with a sandy, shallow seabed, has shades ranging from azure to crystal green. The panorama one can enjoy from it is very characteristic and interesting. In fact, looking southwards from here, one can admire the promontory known as 'Coltellazzo', the 16th century tower built above it and the adjacent islet.

Access mode

It is accessible from Cagliari, by driving along State Road 195, which connects Cagliari with Pula. It will be sufficient to turn left when signposted to enter the town of Pula, follow the signs for the locality of Nora, and consequently those for Is Figus, until you reach the large car park at the beach. It is also possible to arrive by sea with small boats.

Available services

The beach of Is Figus offers all the services such as kiosks, bars, restaurants, beach umbrella and deckchair hire, and a lifeguard station.
