Sa Punta Park

Sarroch

The Park of Sa Punta is located just outside Sarroch, in southern Sardinia.

The park extends over several hectares of sea-facing land, enclosed between the beach of Su Murvoni to the north and the cliffs of Portu Mannu to the south.

The shore has a few short stretches of light grey sand, alternating with Posidonia and medium-sized pebbles all the way into the seabed, which is crystal clear, especially in the first stretch.

Immediately behind the beach, there is a vast woodland crossed by a paved road for easy access to the sea. Tall domestic pine, maritime pine and eucalyptus trees provide extra shade around the covered picnic areas with tables, chairs and barbecues. In addition to these facilities, there is also a bar and restaurant a few metres from the beach.

Close to the water, are the ruins of the 'Torre Zavorra', a military structure built around 1578, which was operational until 1832, with a garrison of the historical military ‘Dragoni di Sardegna’ Corps. It was briefly exploited as a lookout station at the beginning of the First World War, only to be permanently demolished in 1916 by the army. Near Torre Zavorra are the remains of other military fortifications: an anti-aircraft battery used during the Second World War.

Available services
  • Covered picnic areas with tables, chairs, and barbecues.
  • Bar and dining facilities located just a few meters from the beach.
