The city park in Sarroch is the town's most important green haven, located just outside the centre.
Extending over 3 hectares of wooded area, it features various species of plants including pines, olive trees, mastic trees, elms, oleanders and willows.
Visitors can walk along the many paths or use them for outdoor sports.
A recent addition is the children's play area with wooden slides, swings and other playsets made of wood.
In the eastern part of the park, there is a modern open-air amphitheatre used for sports events, concerts, film screenings, theatre performances and any other major event taking place in town.
An artificial lake, surrounded by greenery and attracting various species of local birdlife, provides the setting for the park café and refreshment area.
A special feature of the park is the Giants’ Tomb: the remains of a megalithic grave built during the Nuraghic Age (16th-13th century BC) with local boulders of volcanic stone and used as a collective tomb for the burial of members of the community.
