A short distance from the Romanesque church of San Pietro, in the heart of the village, stands 'Casa Aru'.
In the heart of the village, stands 'Casa Aru'. a formerly rural mansion built between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, with the typical features of the local architecture (lower Campidano). It is a two-storey building made from adobe and stone walls, with a large courtyard in front. On the western side are the secondary buildings leaning against the perimeter wall.
The mansion is linked to the agricultural economy that flourished between the 19th and 20th centuries and the main body of the building is still well preserved today, with its squared stones at the base and adobes in the elevations of the walls, plastered with clay mortar.
The flooring was made from wood planks with a stone staircase linking the upper and lower level, while the roof had a double pitch covered with typical clay tiles. Indoors, the ceiling was crafted with marsh reeds joined with lime and clay mortar.
Both façades feature large rectangular windows protected with wrought iron grilles. The outbuildings on the southwestern side, adjacent to the street and open towards the central courtyard, are now without ceilings. Their function was probably to store and process foodstuffs (grain, fruit, legumes, oil and wine).
